EXPERIENCE

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) # 93810. I earned my MA in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling at Saint Mary’s College of California.

I provide therapy to adolescents and adults. My practice emphasizes evidence-based treatments. I provide emotional, interpersonal, and behavioral life skills.

As a mother of two, I have a deep understanding of the emotional transitions that come with parenting. I especially enjoy supporting mothers as they navigate the challenges of early postpartum, finding balance between work and family, and managing the stress and overwhelm that can come with raising children. I offer a compassionate and nonjudgmental space for those experiencing anxiety, depression, and the complex emotions that often accompany motherhood.

In addition, I provide guidance and support for parents who are facing challenges with their children or within the family dynamic. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to help you feel grounded and empowered in your role as a parent.

I am also a part of a team of therapists that offer Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) through Mount Diablo Psychological Services (MDPS). MDPS offers Evidence-Based Therapy and Emotion Regulation Skills Groups.

For more information please visit the MDPS website: mtdiablopsychologicalservices.com

In addition, I have worked as a therapist in both public and private school settings, therapeutic camps (Quest Therapeutic Camps Inc), and community mental health clinics. Moreover, I have worked in schools such as Charles Armstrong School, Hope Academy, Stellar Academy for Dyslexics, Fusion Academy -Walnut Creek, and Compass High School serving students with learning differences. While working at Compass High School, I taught a social skills, a remedial reading class, and provided on-site therapeutic services. I am a professional multi-sensory dyslexia Slingerland® screener (identifying deficits and/or weaknesses in children with specific language disabilities). I have been intensively trained in Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

My therapeutic style is warm, genuine, nonjudgmental, compassionate, and goal- oriented. Furthermore, I believe with support, empathy, and professional guidance, an individual has the capability to grow, learn, and achieve their greatest potential.
